CHOCO-MOCHA PANNA COTTA

INGREDIENTS:

2 90-g box unflavored clear gelatin
2 250 ml fresh milk (ready-to-drink tetra pack)
2 250 ml Nestle cream
1/4 tsp instant coffee
2 packs instant chocolate drink (I used Choco Lava)

PROCEDURE:

Pour contents of both packs of gelatin in a bowl. Stir. Divide mixture into 3 equal portions

Pour milk and cream in another bowl. Mix and divide into 3 equal portions as well

MOCHA LAYER:

In a small bowl, mix 1/4 tsp coffee and 1 1/2 tsp of instant chocolate drink (reserve remaining for the chocolate layer). Since I don't drink coffee, I only used a small part of coffee for the mocha layer. If you like coffee, you can increase the amount or you can use all 1 1/2 tsp without adding chocolate anymore.

In a small pan, pour one part of milk-cream mixture, one part of gelatin mixture and the mocha or coffee granules.

Cook over medium heat, stirring until dissolved. DO NOT allow the mixture to boil.

Pour into molds and allow to set for about 5 minutes.

CHOCOLATE LAYER:

Mix one portion of milk-cream mixture, gelatin mixture and the 2 packs of the Choco Lava instant chocolate drink.

Cook over medium heat, stirring until dissolved without allowing to boil.

Pour over the set coffee panna cotta and allow to set again for 5 minutes.

MILK LAYER:

Mix the remaining portion of milk-cream and gelatin mixtures.

Cook over medium heat, stirring until dissolved without allowing to boil.

Pour over the set chocolate panna cotta and allow to set.

Chill. Invert mold in a plate or tray and serve.

For garnishing, you can pour caramel on top and sprinkle with chopped nuts or shaved chocolate.
